The Electricity Regulatory Authority would like to inform the general public and stakeholders that the Internal House Wiring Rules and Regulations 2025 have been approved by the Commission. This new regulation supersedes the Internal House Wiring Regulation 2016, and provisions the mandatory certification of electricians and approval of electrical firms, adoption of national standards, testing and inspection requirements, and defines the approval process for house wiring installation to ensure safe installation, maintenance, testing, and inspection of internal house wiring in residential, commercial, institutional premises in the country.The approved Internal House Wiring Rules and Regulations 2025 is now available on the ERA website and may be accessed for your compliance and kind information.
